Bike to Work Day

Steph and I biked to snooze together. Veggie breakfast burritos and pineapple pancakes with cinnamon butter :)

It was super crowded, lots of new Belgium and otterbox peoples.

I made a quick stop at a station on campus for a bagel bite then one final one by my work for freebies. Had to turn down the waffle food truck, too full!

I have to sadly have to drive to Boulder for a meeting tonight, most of the breweries are doing free beer after work...

First Garden Meal

Updated with recipe:

We used green curry instead of red, turned out fine. Steph added steam broccoli at the end.

For the rice I used way more ginger, we love ginger!

Curry shrimp with garden lemon basil. Had it with coconut Brown Rice, turned our really good!

Garden Update

Almost filled everything up, just need to plant some green beans. Planted onions, garlic, and shallots - salsa garden!

Other news, we found a house to rent! Move in at the end of the month. Very well kept, nice yard, hardwood floors, and a garage. A little farther from downtown but closer to both of our jobs. We're super excited to get out of the "euro" apartment

Somebody left this on the 300m windshield last night, pretty funny...

I haven't even driven it in weeks!

RMNP - East Portal

We just got back from backpacking in RMNP. Lucked out, no rain! We were originally going to go to Fern Lake (4miles one way) but they still had A LOT of snow so we opted for something at a lower elevation.

Ended up at East Portal(2 miles one way) which is just south of the main entrance. Followed a stream most of the hike, didn't see anyone one else the whole time. Very private / secluded, streams everywhere.

starting off at the dam

hello, dear
Made it to the camp, celebratory beer :)

we had to do this a lot

homemade cooler

We met up with Joan and Chalie, they came earlier in the day to get some fishing in

they made yummy sorrel pesto for dinner. Steph and I brought fancy cheese and smoked salmon for "happy hour"

group morning shot

packing up

beetle kill everywhere :(

almost back to the cars. We were motivated to get back into town for donuts @ Donut Haus. They have the best(and typically sell out)!

great hike!

Tim and Krista visit FoCo

Tim and I are buddies in a beer app, saw that he was coming up our way in Monday for brewery tours before they nice back to Michigan.

We took them to horse and dragon brewery, which just opened by steph's work. I think they had a good time, they visited multiple breweries before we saw them haha

Burning Can

We made it to this (canned beer only) beerfest in Lyons for the third year in a row. Got camping passes with a few friends for the first time, which was fun - stayed right outside the main festival area. They had music going all night, lots of outdoor events (bmx biking, etc) during the day as well.

It briefly rained but wasn't bad overall, we were prepared!

Trestles

I pulled these from the dumpster when Mary and Justin moved from Denver :) Decided to "restore" them. Middle picture is the before. Turned our pretty good!
